On the Space Coast, a major focus is placed on K-12 education. We are paving the way for a well-rounded, educated workforce and we are proud that our public schools rank in the top tier for national standard testing and graduation rates.

Some other things we're proud of:

• 97% of Brevard County’s schools are A or B schools. 90% are A schools. There are no D or F schools.
• Brevard's 2008 SAT scores were 44 points above Florida's average and 20 points above the national average.
• Brevard Public Schools (BPS) is ranked 2nd in the state by the Florida Department of Education.
• BPS is third in the nation in the percentage (11.3%) of National Board Certified Teachers.
• BPS is first out of 67 school districts in the state for graduation rate, and has the third lowest dropout rate in Florida.
• BPS is home to 5 of the 23 “Glasser Quality Schools” in the World.
